Squads
Chris Gayle returns to CPL after skipping the 2020 edition. The T20 legend will ply his trade with St Kitts & Nevis Patriots, who he guided to the final in CPL 2017. Veteran all-rounder Shoaib Malik, too, will be available for the new season. He has scored 1707 runs at an average of almost 40 in CPL.
Barbados Tridents and Saint Lucia Zouks changed their name to Barbados Royals and Saint Lucia Kings, respectively. The 2021 edition will see two changes at the helm as Nicholas Pooran will lead the Guyana Amazon Warriors, while Faf du Plessis, who didn’t play a single game in the Hundred tournament, is appointed the captain of Saint Lucia Kings.

It also hosted both the qualifiers, eliminator, and final in the 2016 edition.
