Royal Challengers Bengaluru
The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) made it to the Indian T20 2024 playoffs with an important 27-run win against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on May 18. This victory marked a big comeback for RCB, who had won six games in a row over the past four weeks, after losing seven of their first eight games earlier in the season. To make it to the playoffs, RCB needed to win and also have a better net run rate than CSK. By scoring 218 runs and then holding CSK to 191/7, RCB not only won the match by the needed margin but also moved ahead of CSK in the standings. As a result, they secured a playoff spot alongside the Kolkata Knight Riders, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Rajasthan Royals. This amazing turnaround showed their determination and smart strategy, ensuring their place in the knockout stage of the tournament.
