Score Calculation in Points Rummy
In points rummy, face cards and aces are worth 10 points each. The joker is worth zero points and numbered cards are worth their face value.
Winner’s score
Winner is the person who makes the valid declaration first and gets zero points.
Winnings = (Sum of points of all opponents) x (Rupee value of the point) - First Games Fee.
Losing player’s score
The losing player gets a penalty points for every ungrouped card, provided that he/she has a pure sequence. If a player has no pure sequence, points of all the cards will be added up for the penalty.
Maximum points
In points rummy, the maximum penalty is 80 points. Even if the sum of unarranged cards exceeds 80, you will be penalized with only 80 points.
