Indian T20 League 2022: Kolkata vs Gujarat Fantasy Cricket Match-Ups

They are seventh in the standings, and two points will lift them to playoff places.

After back-to-back wins, Gujarat became the first franchise to pick up five wins this season. The Hardik Pandya-led side crushed Rajasthan by 37 runs and clinched a last-over thriller against Chennai in Pune. The Ahmedabad-based franchise lost just one match so far in the 15th edition.

A Finch vs  S Narine

Aaron Finch played a stellar knock against Rajasthan on Monday. The Aussie white-ball captain struck a 28-ball 58 - nine fours and two sixes. All-rounder Sunil Narine picked up pace as the West Indian grabbed four wickets in his last three matches at an economy rate of 5.41. He is one wicket away from 150 wickets in the Indian T20 League. 

Verdict: S Narine to finish above A Finch in the fantasy points chart.

Sunil Narine has not conceded more than eight runs an over in any of the 11 Indian T20 seasons that he has played.

He has had an economy rate of less than six thrice in a season (2022 included).

U YADAV vs  M Shami

Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami haven't been prolific with the ball in the last few games. The Kolkata pacer, who took 2/16 against Bangalore at DY Patil Stadium this season, registered more batting points than bowling points against Rajasthan. Meanwhile, Shami has grabbed a wicket each in Gujarat's previous two outings. 

Verdict: U Yadav is expected to outscore M Shami in this Match-Up

L FERGUSON vs  R Khan

Lockie Ferguson will head to DY Patil Stadium with confidence after his three-wicket haul against Rajasthan in Gujarat's last outing at the venue. On the other hand, Rashid Khan scored a match-winning 40 in the newly-formed franchise's three-wicket win over Chennai.  However, the Afghanistan spin king went wicketless in Gujarat's last two outings.

Verdict: L Ferguson has the upper hand over R Khan
